Ideas For Starting A Small Business

Sun, Sea And Ice Cream

I have to share this small business idea and experience with you.

During a recent holiday break in Turkey it became apparent to me that no matter where I go, even during my holidays I’m always looking out for exciting and usual ideas for starting a new business.

During our family holiday I decided to hire a speed boat for the day so we could all whizz around the Turkish beaches and explore some of their secluded bays, try out some snorkeling and swim in the clear sea waters. After sourcing a local small business to hire the speed boat from the small business owner was kind enough to warn me to keep out of the forbidden sea waters to the East of the coast to avoid being arrested by the sea patrol.

In all fairness to the business owner ‘Jaq’, he was very helpful and took a lot of pride in the service he offered us. I was intrigued by the way he had set up and put his small business idea in to action and soon got drawn into deep conversation with him before being dragged away by my wife !

For those of you who already know me you’ll know how much I love hearing stories on how other ordinary people come up with a Small Business idea and how they manage to set it up in the same way we share the stories on how we help people to start a small business.

Anyway, after about an hour whizzing around the secluded bays and swimming in the clear waters we set off again only to notice that we were quite close to the sea exclusion zone and that a speed boat was quickly heading towards with the man inside waving his hands at us….. Yes we did think the worse… that it was s Patrol Boat coming to give us a good telling off for being to close to the exclusion zone.

How wrong we were…  in fact to our relief the man just operating a small business selling Ice Cream to people around the coast line. Phew !

Well, we couldn’t stop laughing over the fact that our panic turned into relief and ended by us all purchasing some lovely ice creams to enjoy during what was a scorching hot day from a small business owner who had taken the initiative to start his own small business idea selling ice creams to the hundreds of holiday makers, fishermen and boating enthusiasts around the Turkish Coastline. His boat was kitted out with freezers, signage, flags and a huge choice of ice creams. It was brilliant.

So you see, there are opportunities and ideas for starting a business all around us no matter where you are or where you go, many of which are right under your nose. Entrepreneurs never fail to notice these opportunities or think about taking them to another level. It’s all part of the fun and being a small business entrepreneur.

Some times the simplest small business ideas turn out to be the best, so my advice is don’t ever give up on a dream or on a small business idea that you may have.

Why not send me your story for me to share in the comment box below

How To Create A Money Making Internet Life Style

The People’s Dream… The Internet

Everything appears to be centreing around the global recession and how the rich are getting richer.  This was recently illustrated and published in the Rich list which shows a dramatic increase in personal wealth most of which has come from an Internet Lifestyle that has been created, making more people millionaires than ever before. about making money online

It’s claimed that

“Ten million new millionaires will be created by 2016, and you can become one of them–especially if you are in direct selling, technology, or home-based business” – Paul Zane Pilzer, Best Selling author, Economist, and Professor

Wow… Now that’s food for thought !

Let’s face it, the so called Internet Lifestyle is here to stay, well at least for now despite today’s troubled economy. The Internet offers the most powerful way to communicate, to find money making opportunities and any other type of information. With the Internet you can literally make a million over night!  The Internet enable millions if not billions of messages, news and any type of useful information to be sent from one end of the world to another within seconds. Take the inspiring story of Claire Squires.. a lovely ordinary 30 year young lady who ran the London Marathon to raise £500 for her local Charity. Sadly towards the end of the race she collapsed and died, unknown to her from a heart condition.

Within a few hours the news had spread across the Internet resulting in over £1 Million Pounds being donated online to Claire’s chosen Charity ! Not so long ago most of us would never have even heard about this tragic loss let alone been able to donate money in this way. The Internet made this all possible.  My heart and sympathy goes out to Claire’s family and friends.

The Internet and the lifestyle that has developed for many people over the years, combined with the today’s troubled economy has made many people wake up and realise that they have an opportunity to take back control of their lives and change their personal circumstances. Many have already done so, but as you can see in the chart, millions of people are being forced to take control – of their destiny out of shear necessity and desperation. The main reasons for having to do so are: Making Money And Creating An Internet Lifestyle

  • They’re not making enough money
  • They have lost their  jobs
  • Their Personal debt is at an all-time high
  • People losing their homes is at an all-time high
  • Things are not getting better
  • They are tired of waiting for a miracle to happen

New founded Entrepreneurs are popping up every where.  Many have never had any qualifications, or previous experience in business, or been self employed before, let alone learnt how to make any extra money or even spell the word Entrepreneur. so it just goes to show that with the right mindset, determination and support anything is possible.  These people, newly established entrepreneurs are now enjoying the Internet Lifestyle and opportunities that surround us all. Anyone can make money online and become part of the Internet lifestyle BUT bear in mind that you can also lose money far quicker if you’re not careful.

If you dig deep into the back rounds of the new Internet entrepreneurs you will see a trend. Most of them have copied what other entrepreneurs have done or do and at the same time they found someone to teach how to get to where they are now. That’s the big secret ! Learn from someone else. Find a mentor, copy and implement what they do and with some hard work your bound to create the same results.

Finding a mentor and opportunity will help you get your ‘house in order’ and back on track towards living the life of your dreams. This Online Presentation Link HERE is one great example of how to do just that or you can become a member of a group of entrepreneurs who will teach you how to create that perfect lifestyle using this LINK HERE

Either way, don’t wait for someone else to end your troubles, take action and do some about them now. Who knows, maybe you will end up enjoying an Internet Lifestyle.

Good Luck

Successful Entrepreneur Or Amateur Entrepreneur – Which One Are You?

How To Be A Highly Successful Entrepreneur In The Small Business World

None of us are born a Successful Entrepreneur.
We all come into the world in the same way, namely naked, scared and ignorant. So what separates us from being a successful entrepreneur? How to become a highly successful entrepreneur

Well, it’s the choices we make during our lives. These choices can range from whether we go into further education, who we marry, the career we choose, living a healthy life, how much money we earn etc. etc. .. the list goes on.

Successful Entrepreneurs learn how to make the right choices since they will determine how successful and happy they will become in life whereas others don’t. Even when people make the wrong choice, they fear changing their decision because they fear what the end result might turn out to be.

This applies to those who have made bad career choices. A Successful Entrepreneur learns positive things from any mistakes made whereas some people will for example simply continue to complain that they hate their job which then impacts on their home life, whereas others won’t not take the necessary steps to change their lives for the better. Even those individuals who are brave enough to take action and start their own business can still make the wrong choices that can lead to failure and dissatisfaction. So what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the amateur entrepreneurs?

Both sets of entrepreneurs are focused on becoming successful and both work hard to achieve their goals. However successful entrepreneurs are aware that success will not happen overnight and they build their success slowly and consistently whilst avoiding the common pitfalls faced by their less successful counterparts.

5 Great Tips To Become A Successful Entrepreneur are illustrated below:

Slow And Steady Wins The RaceBecome a successful Entrepreneur
Successful entrepreneurs realise that success will not happen overnight. They acknowledge that even seemingly small steps will eventually lead to the peak of the mountain. Like the story of the tortoise and the hare..

The goal a successful entrepreneur is about adopting positive behaviour and habits and above all being consistent until slowly, but surely, they go on to win the race. They realise that in order to become successful they will need to work very hard to achieve that success. They also avoid becoming complacent when they have achieved success. Instead they continue to do the things that have made them successful realising that consistency is the real key to achieving long term success.

Self Education
Self education in another major reason why some entrepreneurs are more successful than others. Technology is constantly changing and therefore for any kind of entrepreneurship, education is paramount to success especially for those who have online businesses.

Take 100% ownership
To become a successful entrepreneur, accountability is a must. You will need to take full responsibility for the way that your business is run. Amateur entrepreneurs have the tendency to blame any shortcomings on bad luck or on other people. However, any mistakes made are, again, as a result of making bad decisions.

Roy Derrick Successful EntrepreneurFor example if mistakes are made in a script that has been written for you it is wrong to blame the scriptwriter, as ultimately you should have taken ownership and checked the script before the presentation. Likewise it is your own fault and not bad luck, if you overstretch yourself financially and then factors go against you.

A good businessman would make a better decision by allowing for any eventualities that might happen and keep a reserve of cash j
ust in case.

Time Management
Don’t waste time doing things that don’t need doing. One of the biggest flaws that many entrepreneurs make is trying to do everything themselves. It is important to manage your time wisely and only the things that you need to do.

Learn From Other Successful Entrepreneurs
This is the most important difference between a successful and an amateur entrepreneur. It is far easier to become successful by being guided by other successful individuals who have been down that path before you. Even famous entrepreneurs, have been influenced, by other successful people. Sir Richard Branson was advised by
Freddie Laker before venturing into with his airline business and Steve Jobs was inspired by Robert Noyce of Intel.

It is far better to avoid costly mistakes by listening to the more experienced experts. A good mentor will not only teach you how to become successful but they will also let you tap into their own network, allowing you to surround yourself and learn from other successful people. They will teach you the leadership and behaviour that you need to adopt to become successful.

There are many online communities that will offer mentorship programs by top business experts. The advantage of joining a reputable community is that you will have access to the right tools, excellent training and stay focused on the right education and live coaching calls that will equip you with all you need to know to make the shift from an amateur to a successful entrepreneur.

Successful EntrepreneurWith technology and marketing constantly changing it can be hugely advantageous to have access to the most up to date methods that have been tried and tested by someone else’s money rather than your own. All you need to do is to implement what you are taught one step at a time.

Having mentoring and coaching, in my opinion, is paramount to succeeding especially with an online business. In any business, entrepreneurial skills are crucial to becoming successful. Therefore you will need to learn the necessary skill sets required to become a successful entrepreneur.

Being mentored by another business entrepreneur will help to steer you in the right direction to becoming a highly Successful Entrepreneur.

Has Richard Branson Been Caught Stealing ?

Richard Branson Steals A Deal

Has Richard Branson really stolen ‘Northern Rock’ Bank from the Tax Payer?

Some people are up in arms claiming that Richard Branson has struck an unfair deal and bought Northern Rock Bank for approx £790 million pounds, half of what the tax payer bailed the bank out for using tax payers money. Let’s put this into prospective and see who really is going to benefit…..

Some years ago, I was presented with an award from Richard Branson for my entrepreneurial skills. Ever since having lunch with him I have been inspired by the way Richard Branson has developed his brand, his empire and the services he provides to the general public all over the world. Mr Branson has always come across as being someone who wants to give something back to the community for helping him become what he is. You only have to look at the many companies he owes and the unique services he offers.

During his campaign bid to run the National Lottery, he promised to give back far more than the current lottery organisers, but for some reason he lost his bid.  Some may think that Mr Branson loves the publicity and yes to a certain extent this comes with the job, but the reality is, he gives more back to the public than most entrepreneurs and far more than most Governments.

Whether Richard Branson has stolen Northern Rock or not is a matter for debate but he very often delivers his promises. Richard has made it clear from the outset that he wants to create a High Street Banking brand so that he can provide more competitive and fairer banking services to ordinary people rather than being ‘ripped off’. The banks have created a global disaster, so maybe it’s about time that someone with a sensible and ‘back to basics’ approach is able to provide Banking Services in a more democratic and sensible way.

The economy depends on Small businesses’ to keep the economy growing. There is no doubt about it that most Banks do not help small businesses enough. It would appear that they put most of them out of business when they choose rather than helping them through difficult times. Richard Branson has always promised that he will provide better and more appealing packages to Small Businesses and I’m convinced he will. No doubt the ‘big boys’ will try and make it difficult for him.

If Mr Branson delivers his promises then the return on his investment will not only reward his bank account, but also to that of the average tax payer. Everyone will have the opportunity to benefit in one way or another. I am convinced that Richard Branson will open up the competition in the Banking World for the general public and Small businesses all to benefit from. As usual he will create some more enemies through jealousy and FAIR COMPETITON.

Some people claim that true and inspiring business Entrepreneurs like the Richard Branson’s, Bill Gates and the Alan Sugars in this world should run our countries, well maybe there is some truth in this way of thinking. Either way my guess is that although Mr Branson may well have had a good deal buying Northern Rock, we will all benefit in one way or another in the long term.

Kind regards
